From the 100 Days of Nostalgia series

For the first time October meant summer was on the way, and so we flew south. For a week we slept in a different tiny cabin every night and spent mornings making breakfast spreads with fresh eggs and jam on toast. It felt good to be in motion. On the last hot day we drove in our underwear with windows down, pulling off and running into glacier lakes on our way to the airport. We walked through security with clothes slightly damp and hair unruly, just as it should be.
